Kuala Lumpur's Bernama counters news about Sultanate Army base in Sabah

Malaysia's not so independent press is highly sceptical of Sultanate's guerilla army base in Sabah which the Philippine Star reported about recently, a report that was carried by virtually every single Malaysia press outfit. 

However, it is important to note that on anything related to Sabah conflict, Malaysia print and broadcast media are fed largely by the powerful Bernama, Kuala Lumpur's state-run press agency, which will say anything and everything to prop up UMNO Party and Prime Minister Najib's own National Front Party (Barisan Nasional.)

In effect, Bernama can be rightly branded as Kuala Lumpur's 'mind conditionning arm' as it helps UMNO and Najib perpetuate gross historical inaccuracies, etc.

Readers therefore must be sceptical of opinion-based pieces bordering on psy-war tactics that are passed up as news items in Malaysia press. 

Here is an example of today's Borneo Insider banner which is not exactly what one expects from a so-called full-pledged news reporting outfit. We can only surmise that someone in Borneo Insider must have been ordered by Bernama to copy-paste Kuala Lumpur's press release.

Sultan Kiram’s men set up guerrilla base in Sabah jungle claim – report

KOTA KINABALU: Sultan Jamalul Kiram III and his erstwhile spokesman, Abraham Idjirani are at it again in what many believe is a psychological war being waged against Malaysian security sources.

With their raiding force almost decimated and their so-called Radja Mudah, Agbimuddin Kiram either hiding in Simunul, Tawi-Tawi or even dead, the Kirams have hatched yet another interesting tale.

If last week they said that the MNLF had sent 400 of its fighters to Sabah to shore up Abgimuddin and his remaining ‘army’, this time around they are claiming that the followers of the sultanate of Sulu have set up a guerrilla base in the hinterlands of Sabah.

And as if that was not enough, The Borneo Insider posted a picture boasting a Malaysia Army armoured car; press photo caption smacks of deadly Malaysian challenge as it reads, "The Adnan VPC, an all-terrain armoured carrier and tank is waiting for Kiram’s men, wherever they are." 

Now, that to us sounds very much like a Bernama-sponsored psy-war gimmick ;-)

Kuala Lumpur's state propagandist Bernama on track for more historical lies

PREPOSTEROUS, RIDICULOUS, GOBSMACKINGLY DEPRAVED KUALA LUMPUR'S CONTINUING PROPAGATIONS TO THEIR PENINSULAR MALAYSIA YOUTH THAT MALAYSIA, INCLUDING SABAH, BECAME INDEPENDENT 56 YEARS AGO -- A COMPLETE LIE!

BERNAMA, KUALA LUMPUR-CONTROLLED PRESS AGENCY WRITES AN INCREDIBLY TALL TALE ABOUT ENCOURAGING WEST MALAYSIA YOUTH TO BELIEVE THAT SABAH WAS PART OF MALAYSIA 56 YEARS AGO!

EXCEPTS OF BERNAMA ARTICLE:

"After 56 years of independence, the Lahad Datu episode should be a lesson that the country’s security can be shaken if it is not looked after properly. 

"It is also a wakeup call against complacency with what is owned, and forces people to be cognizant of the possibility of losing it if the culture of taking care is not there. 

"Mohamed Fadzil said looking at some of the examples in the world such as Tunisia, where peace has yet to be achieved, following the Arab Spring three years ago, with some university students still taking to torch themselves despite having a new president. 

"Similar situations in Egypt, Syria, and Yemen should also be taken as a lesson. 

"He went on to further say that the events of Lahad Datu and the subsequent sentiments and lessons that they have raised should go into record as curriculum for the benefit of civil servants, university students as well as the general public and school students."

OUR COMMENT TO IDIOTIC KUALA LUMPUR'S BERNAMA STATEMENT: 

Kuala Lumpur is on its way to "Malaysianalising" Sabah as its officials condone the gross and sick inaccuracies that Peninsular Malaysia has been trying to imbue in the heads of their Peninsular Malaysuia youth.

That Peninsular Malaysia should do everything and anything to be able to steal Sabah from their rightful Sulu Sultanate owners for good is one thing but to enforce ignorance in their people right in Peninsular Malaysia through shameless lies is another. To tell their Malayan youth that MALAYSIA obtained its independence 56 years ago (1957) and to shamelessly imply that Sabah was included in that imagined 1957 MALAYSIA independence is just sick in the extreme.

And this is a country that President Aquino will 'kill' for as in allow this stupid nation of Malayan liars to kill Filipino Tausugs in Sabah? This is the country that President Aquino and his family would commit treachery for? This is the country of liars that President Aquino shamelessly declares he has a debt of gratitude to?

MALAYSIA DID NOT EXIST IN 1957 and certainly did not include Sabah in any of Kuala Lumpur's imagined equation and this cannot change no matter how Bernama tries hard to turn it around!

Sabah was a separate British colony from 1946 to 1963 and had nothing to do with Kuala Lumpur's Malaya Federation at all. So, how could Bernama grossly insist that Malaysia with Sabah gained independence in 1957 or 56 years ago when MALAYSIA DID NOT EXIST then?

MALAYSIA only began to exist 50 years ago or on 16 September 1963 long after the British colonials terminated their official colonial hold on that stupid peninsula which has Kuala Lumpur for a capital. So again, how could Kuala Lumpur say that Malaysia became independent when it simply did not exist 57 years ago?

Kuala Lumpur's BERNAMA is an extrordinary mongerer of untruths -- it is imperative for patriotic Filipinos to react vigorously against such lies especially if such lies are being propagated to the detriment of the Republic's sovereignty claims to Sabah!

We have always known that Kuala Lumpur or Peninsular Malaysia officials are corrupt but their being intellectually corrupt is simply gobsmackingly depraved!
